| American French Onion Soup |
"This recipe takes French onion soup and gives it a few American twists which are going to make it a little bit simpler."
Ingredients :
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 6 massive yellow onions, diced
- three tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 tablespoon sherry vinegar, or to flavor
- 4 cups fowl broth
- 4 cups red meat broth
- 3 sprigs clean thyme
- salt and ground black pepper to flavor
- 6 slices French bread
- 1/four cup butter, melted
- 1 cup shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
